Pumpkins! Pumpkins!!
It is pumpkin week!!! We have been talking about how pumpkins grow and what we can do with pumpkins all week. We painted the pumpkins the kids selected from the Orchard last week.
They also got to make their own pumpkins (on paper)!
Then we cleaned out bigger pumpkins to make jack-o-lanterns! And we roasted the seeds for snack!
For the last day we decided to bake! Pumpkin Cookies!!!

Apple Week
The children just love talking about (and tasting) different types of apples and exploring what we can make out of apples this week! It is a delicious week! However, the BEST part of the week's theme was getting to go to Center Grove Orchard for a tour!! We are so very thankfully to have had so much parent participation to make it possible for us to get to (and from) the orchard and allow us to learn and play with the kids!
We had our own tour guide who took us on a hay rack ride, showed us the farm animals at the orchard, pretended to be the big bad wolf while the we ran in and out of the 3 Little Pigs' homes, showed us how apples are sorted, and let everyone taste different types of apples! We stuck around after the tour to jump on the huge jumping pillow (a must!) and have our picnic lunch!
Thank you again to everyone who helped! It was such a memorable day (even with all the fog)!!

A nice week for Weather Theme!
It is hard to believe that it was 80 degrees three times this week, and we are in October!! The children made their very own weather wheels to figure out the weather for each day. We also made cloud pictures with cotton balls and snow pictures with white crayons!
We have had perfect weather to discuss sunny days and windy days. Thankfully the rainy and snowy days have held off!!
Here we are playing in the leaves!!
