Can you believe it is almost April?!!

The time is just flying by. We are almost into our fourth month of business!! And I would like to report that we are officially an LLC! It is now Natalie & Sarah's Learning Center, LLC. We are big-time now! =)

Last week's Spring theme lead us nicely into our Garden theme this week. Gardening is such a fun topic! They watched celery leaves turn different colors as we talked about how plants get water, we are sprouting corn seeds, and planting pots of various flowers & vegetables. We'll see how much they grow!

Last week we made lots of flowers (during craft)! Here the boys are painting some tulips!

We love the warmer weather!!

What can we do outside? Let us show you!!

Happy Spring!

Even though Spring came with some snow this past weekend, we are happy to have the season change!

To welcome in Spring, our theme this week is...Spring! We are talking about what it is, what makes the seasons, what happens during Spring, and what we wear at Spring time.

Last week was the first week that we could play outside without boots or snow pants (and even without coats one day)! Sarah and I were adventurous and took the children to the park last Thursday for a picnic lunch and some play time. It went very well and everyone had a great time! Today we went for a walk and were very proud of how well the preschoolers walked and followed directions. We are excited for all the outdoor time to come!

Last week our topic was Rainbows!! The children wore a certain color every day and enjoyed coloring and doing activities with certain colors! We made different colored handprints each day of the week and made our own rainbow. As you will notice in the picture, we have also started a marble jar. The preschoolers will get to have a pajama party when we reach the first line of the jar!

St. Patrick's Day was filled with green....from green clothing to green snack. The children had green apples, green milk, & shamrock cookies with green frosting!! What a yummy treat!!

Farmers on their Tractors

Before we got the Smart Cycles & tricycles, we borrowed two riding tractors! They are a HUGE hit and the most popular toy we have right now!

Left Foot, Right Foot...

Last week we learned about Opposites! The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss incorporated our rhyming from the week before & opposites!

We are thankful!!

Hello!!

This past week brought us a few great surprises!!

1) The weather warmed up enough to melt just about ALL of the snow in the yard! While we now have a good amount of mud, we no longer have snow! =)

2) A professor friend of mine was kind enough to donate 2 Smart Cycles and 4 trycycles to us!! We tested out the Smart Cycles on Friday, and while the children didn't get the concept of pedaling the cycle to make things happen on the TV screen, they LOVED trying to pedal (and pushing the flashing buttons)! I will post pictures of our new toys soon!

This week we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day and focusing on all the colors of the rainbow! The children (and Sarah and I) are even wearing the colors to drive the point further!
Monday - Red
Tuesday - Orange/Yellow
Wednesday - Green
Thursday - Blue/Indigo
Friday - Purple

Thankfully Spring is just around the corner (and our theme next week)!!

2 Positions Available

FYI....we have 2 preschool spots open right now (for ages 2 to 5 years)!! Let us know if you or anyone you know needs child care!!!

Thanks!!!!

Muddy, Muddy

Well we are happy that the snow is finally leaving however it is creating a nice mud hole for our driveway and in our backyard!! It is very hard to keep little kids out of the mud! At least we get to go outside, right?!!

This week the children are learning about opposites! This is such a fun theme because we get to dance (Hokey Pokey & If You're Happy & You Know It), do obsticle courses, and play games to practice and learn about many types of opposites!

We will be having DATE NIGHT this Saturday if you (or anyone you know) would like to bring your child(ren)!
