Water Fun!!

Some of our families were able to meet up at the Ames aquatic center on Sunday for Tot Time! The children (and adults) had a great time! Thank you to all who could make it!! (Sorry I didn't get very many pictures.)

S'more Fun

We spent two weeks talking about camping and pretending to camp in the playroom! The kids loved having the tent up and pretending to make food over a fire, go fishing, and sleep in sleeping bags!

However, I think the moment they all loved the most was when they got to have s'mores for snack! We concluded our Camping theme with a sticky, yummy mess!!

(Sorry for the baby bib Izzy!)

Happy Birthday!!

We celebrated our last birthday of the year this week! It is funny that our birthdays are bunched into the beginning of the year. We will just have to find other reasons to party! =)

Happy Birthday Hailey!!!

Welcome!!

Last week we added a new addition to our center!! We are very glad to have him in our care, and his big sister is very happy to bring him with her every day. Welcome Andrew!!

Eating the Rainbow

For the past month we introduced new (and some old) fruits and vegetables to the children at lunch and snack times. We ate the fruits and veggies weekly by color. Our weeks included:

Red: grapes, strawberries, tomatoes, cranberries, beets, raspberries, apples, red peppers, red potatoes, watermelon, pomegranates

Orange/Yellow: oranges, carrots, peaches, yellow pepper, pineapple, mangoes, sweet potatoes, pears, cantaloupe, lemonade, yellow squash, apricots, corn, mandarin oranges

Green: grapes, honeydew, asparagus, kiwi, broccoli, celery, spinach, lettuce, apples, green peppers, avacados, peas, limeade

Blue/Purple & White/Brown: blackberries, figs, blueberries, grapes, plums, eggplant, bananas, jicama, potatoes, mushrooms, cauliflower

The children got one sticker for every fruit and vegetable that they tried!

We ended our weeks by eating stir fry with many of our veggies and a fruit salad!!

 (It looked prettier before cooking!)

Goodbyes are always sad!

We celebrated with Addison on her last day last week with swimming and cupcakes!! We will really miss that adorable little girl and want to wish Addison and her family the best!!! Thank you for letting us care for her!
